In a recent meeting with Jordan’s King Abdullah II in Beijing, Chinese President Xi Jinping reiterated China’s commitment to a two-state solution regarding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Xi emphasized the importance of restarting peace talks and advocated for the prompt establishment of an independent Palestinian state. He highlighted the necessity of a comprehensive ceasefire, civilian protection, ongoing humanitarian aid, and a political solution grounded in international law.

President Xi underscored the principle of Palestinians self-governing Palestine, which includes managing the West Bank and rebuilding efforts in Gaza. This reaffirmation aligns with China’s long-standing position on supporting Palestinian sovereignty and aligns with international calls for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict.

Both leaders expressed a shared interest in broadening cooperation across various sectors such as trade, infrastructure, and transportation. They also highlighted the importance of advancements in digital technology, artificial intelligence, and green energy, signaling a mutual commitment to future-oriented development projects.
