China Calls for US Tech Collaboration to Strengthen Bilateral Relations, States Wang Yi

In a recent phone conversation, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi emphasized the importance of eliminating barriers and enhancing dialogue between China and the United States, advocating for a constructive bilateral relationship founded on strategic stability. Wang’s discussion with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio highlighted the necessity for both nations to adhere to principles of equality, mutual respect, and mutual benefit, aiming to translate the consensus of their leaders into actionable policies and practical cooperation.

Wang underscored that a stable relationship is not only beneficial to both countries but also serves the broader interests of the international community. He called for expanded areas of cooperation and the creation of positive agendas to effectively manage differences and mitigate potential risks. According to Wang, fostering a stable bilateral relationship requires more than just rhetoric; it demands sustained and meaningful action.

The Chinese foreign minister also addressed the sensitive issue of Taiwan, urging the United States to approach the matter with caution. Wang described the Taiwan issue as highly significant for the bilateral relations between China and the United States, indicating its potential impact on the stability of their relationship.

Both Wang and Rubio agreed on the importance of maintaining open lines of communication and expressed their commitment to working towards implementing the understandings reached by their respective leaders.
