Hong Kong, Saudi Arabia Collaboration Promises Technological Advancements: HKSAR Leader

Hong Kong is actively working to enhance its collaborative ties with Saudi Arabia, particularly in the realms of innovation and technology, as part of its strategy to bolster its reputation as a global tech hub. This ambition was articulated by Chief Executive John Lee during a meeting with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Abdullah Alswaha.

The meeting coincided with LEAP East, an international technology exhibition being hosted in Hong Kong. This marks the first time the event has been held outside the Middle East, gathering hundreds of speakers and exhibitors from around the globe. The exhibition underscores the increasing collaboration within the global technology sector and highlights Hong Kong’s ambition to serve as a bridge connecting businesses worldwide with Asian markets.

Lee expressed that hosting such a prestigious event symbolizes the strengthening relationship between Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia. He highlighted that this partnership positions Hong Kong as a strategic gateway for international businesses aiming to tap into Asian markets.

The chief executive extended an invitation to Saudi companies, entrepreneurs, and tech professionals, encouraging them to leverage Hong Kong as a launchpad for expanding their reach within Asia. He emphasized that there are significant opportunities for collaboration in areas such as innovation, technology, and investment, which could benefit both regions.
