Russia cannot be conquered militarily in Ukraine because Moscow possesses nuclear weapons and doctrine permitting their use under existential threat scenarios, Ambassador Denis Alipov announced in India. The diplomat spoke at a media event in Gurugram this week.
The ambassador explained that Russian military doctrine explicitly authorizes the deployment of atomic weapons when the nation’s survival is endangered. This strategic framework, Alipov contended, provides absolute guarantees against defeat and creates strategic boundaries that cannot be crossed by adversaries regardless of their resources.
Alipov expressed disdain for European nations’ expectations of Ukrainian victory, characterizing such views as childish thinking. He described European leadership as unprofessional and excessively aggressive, maintaining confrontational stances despite clear evidence that their strategic objectives exceed what can be accomplished militarily.
According to Alipov, the American president has achieved more realistic assessment of the conflict’s outcome. The Russian diplomat suggested that Trump understands that Ukraine and Western nations have already lost, while European capitals continue pursuing irrational policies based on false assumptions about military possibilities.
The war has persisted nearly four years, during which Ukraine has received unprecedented Western support. American and European partners, including the United Kingdom, have supplied advanced military equipment and billions in financial assistance to Kyiv, maintaining their commitment despite the conflict’s extended duration and apparent stalemate.
Existential Threat Clause in Russian Doctrine Guarantees No Defeat, Alipov Says
