Senior Chinese Official Reaffirms Strengthened Cooperation with Greece

Li Xi, senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), concluded a four-day goodwill visit to Greece, emphasizing the commitment to deepen mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries. During his visit, Li met with Greek President Konstantinos Tassoulas, Speaker Nikitas Kaklamanis, Deputy Prime Minister Kostis Hatzidakis, and New Democracy Party Secretary Kostas Skrekas.
Li conveyed greetings from President Xi Jinping and highlighted progress in the China-Greece comprehensive strategic partnership. He emphasized mutual respect, strategic communication, cultural exchange, and win-win cooperation. Li also introduced China’s anti-corruption efforts, stressing the CPC’s integrated approach of preventing, deterring, and punishing corruption, and expressed willingness to cooperate with Greece in this area.
Greek leaders welcomed the dialogue, citing long-standing cooperation and shared support on core international issues. Discussions also covered economic projects like the Port of Piraeus, people-to-people exchanges, governance, and China-EU relations. Li additionally delivered a speech at the China-Greece Civilizational Exchange and Mutual Learning Dialogue, underlining the importance of collaboration in promoting global peace and sustainable development.
