China and UAE Pledge to Elevate Strategic Partnership and Cooperation

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, the UAE President’s special envoy to China, on Saturday to reinforce the bond between the two nations. Wang emphasized China’s commitment to maintaining high-level exchanges and deepening strategic mutual trust. The primary goal is to implement the consensus previously reached by the leaders of both countries, thereby advancing cooperation across all fields and elevating their comprehensive strategic partnership to new heights. Wang noted that the robust friendship between the heads of state provides a vital political guarantee for these relations, reaffirming China’s position as a trustworthy and long-term partner.
In response, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak declared that strengthening ties with Beijing is a top priority in the UAE’s foreign policy. He expressed full confidence in China’s future development and stressed that the UAE approaches this relationship with a long-term perspective. The envoy highlighted a willingness to expand cooperation in key sectors such as the economy, trade, investment, energy, and science and technology. Both sides agreed on the importance of learning from each other’s governance experiences to achieve mutual benefits, viewing their collaboration as a way to strengthen the Global South and enhance world stability.
