Oscars 2026: “Sinners” and Anderson’s Film Earn Prestigious Academy Nominations

This evening’s 98th Academy Awards nominations announcement by Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman highlighted prestigious recognition for two films. Ryan Coogler’s “Sinners” and Paul Thomas Anderson’s “One Battle After Another” earned the most prestigious nominations.

“One Battle After Another” received equally prestigious nominations across major categories. Other films earning prestigious recognition include “Marty Supreme,” “Hamnet,” and “Sentimental Value.” The Best Picture category features ten nominees representing cinema’s finest work. Performance categories highlighted exceptional talent, though the absence of Neeraj Ghaywan’s “Homebound” from all categories sparked discussion.
The 98th Academy Awards ceremony unfolds on March 15 at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony will air at 7 p.m. ET on ABC, where prestigious nominees will compete for Oscar glory.
